The Bangladesh Women’s Football team has returned home with the Saff trophy after defeating Nepal.
The Bangladesh Football Federation has prepared to welcome the players to much fanfare on Wednesday.
The Sabina Khatun-led team landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 1:45pm.
“The players will make it to the BFF office on an open-deck bus,” said BFF General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag.
The state minister for youth and sports along with senior BFF employees will welcome the players at the airport while the BFF chief will be at the headquarters in Motijheel.
After getting out of the airport, the champions will hold a brief media call after which they will set off for the BFF headquarters.
The open-deck bus, equipped with a sound system, will make cross Kakoli-Banani and make its way to the Tejgaon Flyover. It will reach Kakrail through Mouchak after which it will tour Fakirapul, Arambagh, the Motijheel Shapla Chattar and finally reach BFF.
