BTS’s Jungkook tops Billboard with World Cup opening song

The song is number 1 on the iTunes chart. ‘Dreamers’ has been number 1 on the European iTunes charts for six consecutive days. Within 13 hours of its release, the song reached the top of the charts in 102 countries. This is another record.


Jungkook performed the song at the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Qatar. The song was later released on FIFA’s official YouTube channel. Within seven hours of its release, the song topped the charts worldwide. So far YouTube has crossed three crore views.

BTS’s Jungkook was born on October 5th, 1997 in Yeonan, South Korea. He is the youngest of three children and has two sisters. Jungkook is originally from Goyang, a town in South Korea. After spending some time in Nakhoda, a boarding school in the United States, he moved to Seoul when he was just sixteen years old.

Jungkook started singing at the age of six and had his first performance at the age of eight. In 2013, he started appearing on music shows in South Korea and began to tour with BTS. The tour ended in January of this year and Jungkook announced that he would be taking a break from music for over a year.
